MPC20 Conversations, in partnership with Detroit Public Television, featured nationally recognized and Michigan-based thought leaders.

While an in-person Conference was not possible in 2020, it was an important time to convene discussions on moving Michigan forward.

Headliners throughout the 13-week series included Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Mayor Mike Duggan, along with national speakers such as Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Eugene Robinson, former presidential candidate Andrew Yang, best-selling author Margaret Hoover, and political pundit Harold Ford Jr. who also provided perspective.

This digital series focused on current events, including:

  • COVID-19: Michigan Responds, Recovers, & Rises
  • 2020 Election: Pandemic, Partisanship, & Predictions
  • Real Actions: Racial Justice & Achieving Equity

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan was the presenting sponsor of MPC20 Conversations. There were 42 additional sponsors from the corporate and philanthropic community
