Hotel Accommodations

Registration for the 2027 Mackinac Policy Conference is open. To secure accommodations, you must first be registered for the Conference — register now.

Next Steps After Registering

  • Once registered, a confirmation email with a Conference hotel code will be sent to the email address you used to register with. Save this email. To secure a hotel room with any of the Island hotels, registered individuals must provide their hotel code at the time of booking.
  • Island hotels, excluding Grand Hotel (see note below), are now taking reservations for any remaining rooms from those registered for the 2027 Conference. Room reservations can be made directly with hotels and are first-come, first-served.
  • Due to high demand, some hotels may already be fully booked or may fill quickly with reservations open. Availability will vary by hotel. The Mackinac Island Tourism Bureau is maintaining a real-time list of Island hotel availability for the 2027 Conference, including which properties are full. View the list of hotels.
  • A deposit or full payment may be required to secure a room reservation. While all hotels will require the Conference hotel code, their booking processes and cancellation policies may vary. Be sure to review and understand the policies of your preferred hotel before completing your booking.

Grand Hotel

The Chamber manages room access for Grand Hotel. If you typically receive access to a Grand Hotel room through the Chamber, the Chamber will reach out in January 2027 to provide information on how to secure your reservation.

Other Accommodations

The Mackinac Island Tourism Bureau is tracking and posting Island hotel availability for the 2027 Conference as of June 17, 2026. If you struggle to reserve a room after registering, please consider the following options:

  • Many Island hotels have waitlists. Visit the Mackinac Island Tourism Bureau website to view a list of available hotels and add yourself to multiple waitlists.
  • Hotels are available in Mackinaw City and St. Ignace. The Chamber will run later ferries as it has in prior years via Mackinaw City.
  • The Chamber established its own waitlist because it reserves rooms for speakers, sponsors, select government officials, staff, vendors, and other guests critical to the Conference. Those that are not needed for these groups are made available to registered attendees closer to the Conference. If you are registered for the 2027 Conference and have a hard time finding a hotel room, join the Chamber’s hotel waitlist using your hotel code, which can be found in the registration confirmation email received from “event@detroitchamber.com”.

Note: The Chamber manages room access for Grand Hotel. If you typically receive access to a Grand Hotel room through the Chamber, the Chamber will reach out in January 2027 to provide information on how to secure your reservation.
