The Business Case for Community Health

Join the Chamber in making health and wellness practices standard in workplaces across the region at The Business Case for Community Health on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the Michigan Outdoor Adventure Center, where Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) and the Detroit Regional Chamber will explore the best practices to foster healthy employees and communities. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from regional leaders, network with fellow business leaders, and tour the Michigan Outdoor Adventure Center.

Cindy Bjorkquist, director of health and well-being programs for BCBSM, will present a deep-dive into well-being and why employers should focus on well-being rather than wellness. A panel of regional and community leaders will discuss their perspectives on contributing to a healthier region.

Attendees will learn how workplace programs can help:

  • Reduce health care spending
  • Increase employee productivity
  • Promote healthy habits outside of the organization
