In October 2024, the Detroit Regional Chamber and MichAuto hosted an exclusive virtual event unveiling the findings from the Detroit/Metro Black Tech Talent Survey done by McKinsey & Co. in Fall 2024 to assess the attraction and retention of Black tech talent in Detroit.

Chamber Board Member and McKinsey & Co. Managing Partner Aaron Aboagye shared the survey results before moderating a panel of industry leaders and innovators to discuss the findings and explored strategies for building a more inclusive tech ecosystem.

Detroiters Think Big: A Small Business Podcast, presented by the Detroit Regional Chamber and General Motors, showcases the robust community of small businesses and nonprofit organizations dedicated to serving their communities.

In 2021 and 2022, the Chamber hosted the Black– and Diverse-Owned Business Series, to help small, medium, and large businesses in the Detroit Region succeed. The series explored a range of topics, from access to capital to  procurement and policy needs to talent access.
