Norman J. Beauchamp

Executive Vice President, Health Sciences, Michigan State University

Norman J. Beauchamp Jr. serves as the Executive Vice President of Michigan State University’s Health Sciences, overseeing the colleges of Human Medicine, Nursing, and Osteopathic Medicine, as well as the clinical practice of the university.

Beauchamp has served MSU since October 2016, beginning as the dean of the MSU College of Human Medicine and, most recently, as the Associate Provost and Assistant Vice President for Health Affairs.

Beauchamp is a nationally-renowned neuro-interventional radiologist whose discoveries have advanced the treatment of stroke. He has received numerous awards for his research on advanced MRI imaging techniques and has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers.

Beauchamp has served as chair and president of the International Outreach Committee of the Roentgen Ray Society, as well as president and member of the board of directors for the Society of Chairs of Academic Radiology Departments.

Beauchamp earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University, his medical degree from the MSU College of Human Medicine, and his Master of Health Science degree from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. He completed his residency and two fellowships at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
