There has a lot of buzz regarding the future of Detroit’s neighborhoods. Over the past 20 years, foundations have been making targeted investments particularly in areas where there is a high concentration of school aged children. These neighborhoods include: Brightmoor, Cody/Rouge, Northend also known as Central, Osborn, Chadsey/Condon in Southwest Detroit, and Vernor in Southwest Detroit. The Leadership Detroit School Tour will visit two to three of these neighborhoods to give you a chance to see and hear what is going at the “grass roots” level.
