The Detroit Regional Chamber has partnered with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) for the eighth cohort of NeighborHUB to empower small businesses in Detroit, Highland Park, and Hamtramck by providing the funding and resources they need to create lasting, community-driven change.
Since 2024, NeighborHUB has awarded 120 grants, helping small businesses create and enhance spaces that foster collaboration, drive change, and uplift their communities.
What Does the Grant Offer?
Eligible small businesses can apply for the 2026 NeighborHUB grant to receive up to $15,000 in funding to implement projects that improve their operations and community impact. Grant funds can be used for:
- Building improvements
- New or additional signage
- New equipment
- Interior updates
- Delivery or mobile vehicles
- Enhancing online operations
In addition to funding, grantees will receive consulting and support services to help ensure their projects are successful and sustainable.
How to Apply
Detroit, Highland Park, or Hamtramck small business owners who have been in operation for over a year, have a valid EIN, and have fewer than 25 employees are invited to apply.
Applications are open now through Monday, Nov. 3, with selections made at the end of December 2025. Funding will be dispersed among the grantees in January 2026
