Amy McMillan

Chief Executive Officer, Huron-Clinton Metroparks

Amy McMillan is the Chief Executive Officer of the Huron-Clinton Metroparks, a regional park system serving millions of residents across Southeast Michigan with more than 25,000 acres of opportunities. She oversees a $65 million annual budget and nearly 1,000 employees.

McMillan believes parks are an essential, intentional asset in communities and is committed to creating equitable public spaces. Under her leadership, the Metroparks is making significant strides toward breaking barriers that limit access to essential health, wellness, education, and quality-of-life opportunities. These efforts include partnering with the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy to open the Huron-Clinton Metroparks Water Garden on Detroit’s riverfront this fall and spearheading plans to link all 13 Metroparks by adding and connecting non-motorized trails across Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Wayne counties.
