Ron Insana is a Financial Journalist at MS Now, where he analyzes the most pressing economic and market issues of the day. Before embarking on Financial Journalist at MS Now, Insana spent over 41 years as an anchor and contributor for The Financial News Network, CNBC, and NBC News. He has also authored “The Message of the Markets,” which explores the signals put out by the markets, and how individuals can use that information to advantage in their lives.

Insana is well-known for his profile interviews while at CNBC, including U.S. Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, numerous senior cabinet officials, business luminaries like Warren Buffett and Jack Welch, and investment titans George Soros, Julian Robertson, Peter Lynch, and Larry Fink. Other notable interviews in Insana’s career are foreign heads of state, including the late Mikhail Gorbachev and Jordan’s Queen Rania.

Outside of financial journalism, Insana currently publishes “The Message of the Markets” on Substack and delivers The Market Scoreboard Report business updates to radio stations around the country, twice daily. He has also served as an Alternative Asset Manager and advisor to several notable financial firms, such as Schroders, North America, a trillion-dollar investment manager, where he was a Senior Advisor from 2019-2024.

Additionally, Insana has written for Money Magazine and USA Today, hosted two nationally syndicated radio programs, and authored four books on money and markets.

Recognized for his impactful work, Insana was named one of the “Top 100 Business News Journalists of the 20th Century” and nominated for a news and documentary Emmy for his role in NBC’s coverage of 9/11.
