Director, Student Success and Postsecondary Partnerships, Detroit Drives Degrees, Detroit Regional Chamber

Amber Greenway Neher is the Director of Student Success and Postsecondary Partnerships with Detroit Drives Degrees on the Detroit Regional Chamber’s Education and Talent team. In this role, Neher facilitates partnerships with regional higher education institutions and K-12 stakeholders to promote and deliver large-scale regional strategies that support postsecondary student access, success, and attainment.

She is also the Co-facilitator of the Student Success Cluster within the Detroit Drives Degrees Community College Collaborative (D3C3) and leads the student success components of the Detroit Drives Degrees Talent Compact.

Prior to joining the Chamber in May 2023, Neher was the Coordinator of Adult Learner Programs at Wayne State University.

Neher earned a bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish from Central Michigan University and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration Student Access and Success from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Sociology from Wayne State University.

In her spare time, Neher enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, camping, and exploring Michigan’s abundance of outdoor adventures.
