Amy Rencher

Senior Vice President, Small Business Services and Solutions, Michigan Economic Development Corporation

Amy Rencher is the Senior Vice President of Small Business Services and Solutions at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), overseeing the development and execution of organizational strategy. She is accountable for implementing a long-term vision and short-term strategy to support small businesses, provide access to capital, foster rural development, connect businesses to technical assistance, and bolster other small business services offered through MEDC and its partners.

Rencher brings 15 years of leadership experience to the team spanning both for- and non-profit sectors, with exceptional strengths in program design and evaluation, project management, and process improvement initiatives. Before MEDC, Rencher most recently served as managing director of entrepreneurial programs and services at TechTown.

Rencher has been recognized nationally for developing data-driven, innovative, and inclusive small business programs and strategies by thought leaders such as ICIC, the New Economy Initiative, and The Eckblad Group.

Rencher earned her undergraduate degree from Kalamazoo College and a Master of Business Administration from Michigan State University. She is an alumna of AmeriCorps and the Detroit Revitalization Fellowship.
