Ann Marie Sastry is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Amesite, an artificial intelligence-powered software company that provides turnkey learning platforms and apps and delivers 98% learner retention.
Previously, Sastry was Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Sakti3, recognized as one of MIT’s 2015 50 Smartest Companies, and the Arthur F. Thurnau Professor at the University of Michigan, where she served on the faculty for 17 years and co-authored over 100 publications and 100 patents and filings.
She was invited to the White House in 2015 to be recognized for her technology entrepreneurship. Her technology and business work have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Forbes, The Economist, Scientific American, USA Today, The New York Times, and on the cover of Inc.
Sastry is active in philanthropy, emphasizing education, environment, and poverty alleviation. She serves on the Boards of the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT), the Alpha House Family Homeless Shelter, and Laidlaw Venture Partners, among others.
Sastry earned a Ph.D. and master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
