President and Chief Executive Officer, Volunteers of America - Michigan

Aubrey Macfarlane is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Volunteers of America – Michigan (VOA) and has held executive roles with national and local nonprofits, including Kennedy-Donovan Center, May Institute, Gesher, and Judson Center. A mission-driven nonprofit executive with more than 30 years of leadership in healthcare, housing, and human services, she also serves on the VOA National Board, All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly’s Senior CommUnity Care of Michigan Board of Directors, and multiple housing boards.

Macfarlane’s leadership has advanced substantial, sustainable business development and growth while ensuring that services remain person-centered, evidence-based, and community-driven. She is recognized for designing and implementing innovative programs that not only transform lives but also deliver measurable returns on investment for funders, communities, individuals, and families.

As a University of Michigan-educated, licensed social worker, Macfarlane works at the intersection of healthcare and housing, developing innovative solutions that promote stability, improve health outcomes, and build stronger communities.
