Director of Projects, Detroit Future City
Dan Kinkead is the director of projects for Detroit Future City (DFC), a comprehensive framework to create a shared, achievable vision for Detroit’s future and improve the quality of life and business in Detroit. In his role, he develops, coordinates and fulfills innovative and catalytic pilot projects throughout the city.
Originally the founding director of the DFC Implementation Office, Kinkead contributed to the vision and strategic vision of the enterprise. Prior to DFC, he served as a design principal at Hamilton Anderson Associates (HAA), contributing to the design studio leadership for architecture and urban design, and driving the land use and neighborhoods chapters for DFC.
Kinkead has a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Kentucky and a master’s degree in architecture in urban design from Harvard University.
