Jeff Stoutenburg

Director, State Government Affairs, Dow

Jeff Stoutenburg is Director of State Government Affairs for Dow, leading the company’s advocacy initiatives and political strategy in the Midwest and Northeast states and serving as the primary contact for key trade association engagements in the regions.

Stoutenburg previously served as Dow’s North America Public Policy Leader, specifically focusing on energy, climate change, and plastics issues. Prior to joining Dow in 2014, Stoutenburg worked as a legislative analyst for the House Fiscal Agency, a nonpartisan agency within the Michigan House of Representatives. He began his career in the Michigan House of Representatives as a legislative aide to former State Rep. Terry L. Brown.

He currently serves on the Michigan Manufacturers Association Executive Committee and the Boards of Directors of the Central Michigan University Research Corporation, Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce, and the New York State Chemistry Council. He also serves as President of the Michigan Economic Development Foundation.

Stoutenburg received his M.P.A. and a B.S. in Political Science from Central Michigan University.
