Jessica Robinson is the Co-founder and Partner of Assembly Ventures, which invests in and strategically supports entrepreneurs and mobility companies moving the Western world. She draws daily on her diverse operating background, which spans high-growth startups, world-class accelerators, top five global automakers, technology workforce development, and venture capital.
Before establishing Assembly Ventures, Robinson co-founded the Michigan Mobility Institute and spearheaded next-generation mobility efforts as the Director of City Solutions at Ford Smart Mobility. She is an active startup mentor, pitch competition judge, and advisor to the Zell Lurie Commercialization Fund at the University of Michigan. She serves on the advisory board for the Master of Science Robotics program at Wayne State University and is a board member at NAVIT.
Robinson’s impressive background has earned her numerous accolades, including being named a Next City Vanguard and a Detroit delegate to the Harvard Business School Young American Leaders Program. She also served as a Governor’s appointee to the State of Michigan’s Workforce Development Board and was named Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation in 2020.
Robinson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts with the highest honors.
