Joi Harris is the President and Chief Executive Officer of DTE Energy and a member of the company’s Board of Directors.
Among many accomplishments in more than 30 years at DTE, Harris served as the president and chief operating officer of DTE Gas. She also led the construction of many renewable energy projects and the company’s Blue Water Energy Center, positioning the company for a future of clean and sustainable energy production.
Harris holds a number of advisory roles, including as a member of the Nuclear Energy Institute Board of Directors, the Association of Edison Illuminating Companies Board of Directors, and the Wayne State University College of Engineering Board of Visitors. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Skillman Foundation.
Harris has been recognized by Crain’s Detroit Business as a 2025 Woman of Influence, by the Michigan Chronicle as Woman of the Year, and received the Energetic Women’s Maverick Award – a special recognition to leaders who have set the standard in promoting, connecting, and strengthening female leaders in energy operations and engineering.
Harris earned a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree from Wayne State University.
