Jordan Twardy has served as Dearborn’s Economic Development Director since April 2022, leading a team of 70 professionals to improve our permitting and development services and bring increased investment into the city. He brings more than 15 years of experience in economic development across various roles, from fundraising and program management to leadership, including work at the Cities of Warren and Ferndale and at the nonprofit Eight Mile Boulevard Association.
Twardy is passionate about our region and transforming ambitious ideas into workable realities that improve people’s quality of life. His team is currently leading investments of more than $65M in stormwater resilience, traffic calming, facade improvement, housing, and more for Dearborn.
Twardy earned a master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Michigan.
