Kate Levin Markel is the President of the McGregor Fund. She joined the McGregor Fund in 2001 as the Program Officer, became the Program Director in 2010, and was named President in 2015. A Detroit native, Markel’s prior work included time in the private sector in New York, serving on the staff of Detroit Mayor Dennis W. Archer, and consulting to southeast Michigan foundations.
