Kijuan Dent is a Success Coach for Detroit Reconnect at the Detroit Regional Chamber.
He has held multiple positions, assisting in the community directly. Dent has served as a climate corps member with a focus on environmental justice, as well as a member of the AmeriCorps urban safety program with Wayne State University to assist with water filtration and household safety initiatives.
His vision for the community is to address individual needs that may contribute to the well-being of individuals, especially in underrepresented communities, and he understands that having access to education is a foundation for a well-rounded life, personal autonomy, and self-growth.
Dent earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in the leadership of organizations from Michigan State University.
