Kylee Mitchell Wells is the founding Executive Director of Ballmer Group’s Southeast Michigan office, where she spearheads the organization’s philanthropic efforts in the Detroit Region. Under her guidance, Ballmer Group has invested over $330 million to date across the tri-county area, fostering impactful change in local communities.
Before joining Ballmer Group, Wells was the founding Senior Director at Enterprise Community Partners’ Michigan office and a Program Officer for Financial Stability at United Way for Southeastern Michigan. With over a decade of corporate finance experience at BOSCH-USA, United Way, Bank on DC, General Motors Corporation, the City of Detroit, and the Detroit Regional Chamber, Wells brings deep financial strategy expertise to her work.
Wells has been honored as a Crain’s Detroit Business “100 Most Influential Women” and America’s Community Council 2023 Inclusion and Innovation awardee. She serves on numerous boards and committees dedicated to financial compliance, social impact, and economic equity.
Wells earned a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College’s School of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Davenport University. She is also a former National Urban Fellow and a Michigan Political Leadership Program Fellow.
