Laura Trudeau is managing director for the Community Development and Detroit programs at The Kresge Foundation. She manages Re-Imagining Detroit, the Foundation’s nine-point framework to reverse decades of disinvestment in Detroit and reposition the city as a model for revitalization. Nationally, Trudeau works with community development grantmakers to identify initiatives for the redevelopment of older industrial cities and to build bridges between Detroit and other urban communities.
Trudeau joined the Foundation in 2001 and was instrumental in developing Kresge’s Green Building initiative. She also previously served as a senior program officer and program director at the Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, Trudeau worked at JPMorgan Chase as vice president and regional head for philanthropy and community relations in the Midwest, overseeing the bank’s grantmaking activity in Detroit and surrounding areas.
