Margaret Trimer is Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. In this role, she oversees marketing, public relations, internal culture, and corporate philanthropy.
Prior to joining Delta Dental in 2018, Trimer was President and Chief Executive Officer of Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan (JASEM), where she led programs focused on financial literacy, career readiness, and youth development.
She also founded and led University Prep Science and Math (UPSM), a network of high-performing charter schools in Detroit, and previously directed communications for the Michigan Education Association (MEA), the state’s largest teachers’ union. While at MEA, she launched Your Child, a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening Michigan’s education culture.
Trimer began her career as a journalist at the Detroit Free Press, where she helped establish the paper’s first education reporting team and spent six years covering education policy, trends, and reform.
