State Rep. Nancy Jenkins-Arno was elected to her fourth, non-consecutive term in the state House in November 2024. She previously served the people of Lenawee County in the House of Representatives during her first three terms from 2011-2016, prior to the extension of term limits.
The 34th House District includes the cities of Adrian, Morenci, and Tecumseh; the villages of Addison, Blissfield, Cement City, Clayton, Clinton, and Onsted; a portion of Blissfield Township and the entirety of the townships of Clinton, Tecumseh, Raisin, Palmyra, Riga, Ogden, Franklin, Adrian, Madison, Fairfield, Cambridge, Rome, Dover, Seneca, Woodstock, Rollin, Hudson, and Medina.
Rep. Jenkins-Arno is the chair of both the Joint Capital Outlay Committee and the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor and Economic Opportunity. She is also the Vice Chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on School Aid and Department of Education. She also serves on the full House Appropriations Committee and the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Higher Education and Community Colleges.
Nancy Jenkins-Arno graduated from Evangel University in 1986 and earned her master’s degree in political science from the University of Toledo in 1991.
