Regina Bell serves as Chief Policy Officer at the Council of Michigan Foundations (CMF), where she leads a robust government relations and public policy structure that engages Michigan philanthropy, state, and national partners and policymakers through convenings, research, advocacy, and lobbying activities to advance systemic change. Bell works to leverage the collective voice of Michigan philanthropy to equitably improve outcomes for Michigan communities and beyond.
As a policy professional with over 20 years of experience working in the public and private sectors, Bell has provided oversight for program execution, played a key role in driving policy development and implementation, served as a credible and trusted voice among various stakeholders, and has successfully built and maintained strategic relationships to advance Michigan’s economy. She has served in numerous capacities, including most recently as senior program officer for the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Chief of Staff for the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation, policy director for a former Michigan Governor, and government relations and external affairs director for AT&T.
Bell is a proud Michigan State University James Madison College Alum, Michigan Political Leadership Program (MPLP) fellow alum and received her MPA from Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
