Rhonda Walker has been helping Detroiters get motivated and ready for the day for the past 24 years. Walker is an award-winning versatile journalist who has co-anchored the weekday morning newscast at WDIV-Local 4 News since 2003.  

Walker is committed to serving the Metro Detroit community and makes nearly 75 appearances each year with motivational speaking and in support of charitable efforts.  

Walker’s scores of awards and accolades range from over 50 different community, corporate, and professional organizations within the past nine years alone, including Hour Detroit’s Best News Anchor Award, Angelo B. Henderson Community Service Award, and the 2021 Crain’s Detroit Business Notable Nonprofit Board Member. 

Walker is a board trustee at DMC Harper University and Detroit Receiving Hospitals and an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, the Renaissance Chapter of the Links Inc., and Girl Friends, Inc. 

Walker is also the founder and president of the Rhonda Walker Foundation, an award-winning five-year Girls into Women education, career, and personal development, mentoring, and college prep program that has resulted in 100% high school graduation and 95% college enrollment rates among teen girls in Detroit who complete the program.
