Shaina Humphries is the Evening Anchor for CBS News Detroit, being a part of the newsroom’s historic launch.
Before joining CBS, Humphries was a Main Evening Anchor at Fox29 News in Philadelphia. In 2021, she was awarded a Mid-Atlantic Emmy for live breaking news coverage.
She began her career as an Anchor and the first 9 p.m. reporter for KCCI 8 News in Des Moines, Iowa, where she covered four election cycles and led the station’s yearlong State of Addiction initiative with in-depth reports on Iowa’s opioid epidemic. She received an Upper Midwest Emmy Award for her work on a roundtable discussion about the early impact of the #MeToo movement.
