Daniela Vargas Garcia is an HR Partner Analyst supporting the Technology Development Program within the Data and AI – Financial Services industry group. Based in Metro Detroit, she lives with her husband and their two daughters.
Here is what Vargas Garcia had to say about her apprenticeship:
Q: What’s one thing you’ve learned about yourself during your apprenticeship?
A: One thing I’ve learned about myself during the apprenticeship is the importance of trusting your gut and just going for it. Early in my career, I often fell into the trap of comparison and felt like I was falling behind. But once I joined Accenture and became part of the apprenticeship program, I found a community of individuals with similar backgrounds and experiences. The inclusivity and shared sense of purpose helped me realize that I truly belong here and that I’m growing both personally and professionally.
Q: How was your transition from apprentice to full-time employee?
A: My transition from apprentice to full-time employee was simple and seamless. There wasn’t much change aside from the official title—the day-to-day work, the support system, and my team remained the same. It was a very natural progression.
Q: What advice would you give someone considering an apprenticeship?
A: One piece of advice I’d give someone considering an apprenticeship is: go for it. It’s normal to feel uncertain, but whether you thrive or decide it’s not quite the right fit, you’ll have learned something valuable. Give yourself grace along the way. As many of my teammates have said (and now I echo): we are all learning. Accenture is constantly evolving, and the apprenticeship program is designed to support learning and growth at every step.
Overall, I’m incredibly happy with my experience and the outcomes of the program and I would absolutely recommend it to my friends and family.
