Yesterday, the Detroit Regional Chamber and MichAuto team members walked the Gordie Howe International Bridge between Detroit and Windsor to honor its grand opening. Halfway, the Chamber met up with its partners at the Windsor Essex Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the new connection between the two countries.
The Chamber encourages companies on both sides of the border to walk the bridge in recognition of the importance of the relationship between the U.S. and Canada.
For more than 20 years, the Chamber has led efforts to advocate for the approval, building, and opening of the Gordie Howe International Bridge, working with multiple presidential administrations, Michigan’s congressional delegation, and governors and state legislatures under the leadership of both parties.
