New Detroit Inc., the nation’s first racial justice coalition working toward racial equity and dismantling systemic racism, announced the winners of its inaugural “Just Lead: Advancing Racial Equity 2024 Leadership Awards.” Four Chamber members have been selected as recipients.
A special congratulations to the following awardees:
- Loretta Bush on behalf of Authority Health (Just Care® Racial Equity in Health Care)
- LaJune Montgomery Tabron, President and Chief Executive Officer, W.K. Kellogg Foundation (Lifetime Achievement)
- Kaila Page, Community Partnerships Manager, City Year Detroit (Young Leader)
- Alice Thompson, Chief Executive Officer, BFDI Educational Services, Inc. (Just Lead Racial Equity in Leadership)
The awardees will be recognized during New Detroit’s annual leadership forum, Oct. 17. The event will celebrate and inform leaders in racial equity, plus feature networking opportunities and a chat with New Detroit’s Michael Rafferty and the recipients.
