Chambers, Associations Urge the Next Congress and Administration to Pursue Pro-growth Tax Policy

The Detroit Regional Chamber joined the U.S. Chamber to urge Congress to take action on the expiring 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Without congressional intervention, the expiration of pro-growth tax reforms in 2025 will trigger the largest tax increase in U.S. history, jeopardizing the economic gains achieved since President Donald Trump signed the act into law.

This tax hike threatens to stifle economic growth, burden families and businesses, and lead to job losses. To safeguard America’s economic future, the next Congress and Administration must prioritize a pro-growth agenda that prevents tax increases and fosters an environment where all Americans can thrive.
