Chris Renwick and Lloyd Jackson speak with Greg Handel, Chief Education and Talent Officer for the Detroit Regional Chamber about a new study that says that college might not lead to the American Dream like it used to. Handel reaffirms that while there are less traditional pathways to success now, the long-term value of obtaining a college degree remains strong.
“One-third of adults in Michigan have a college degree, but that one-third of the population holds two-thirds of the best paying jobs,” Handel said. “Right now, 43 of the 40 hottest jobs require a college degree.”
