Additional power load from massive data centers and other large users is an economic development opportunity that will curb bill increases for other customers, DTE Energy’s chief executive said Thursday.

At the same time, CEO Joi Harris said hyperscalers have good intentions but much more must be done to convince people of their merits….

“We look to expand economic development because that puts downward pressure on rates,” Harris said at the Detroit Regional Chamber‘s Detroit Policy Conference.
