Former U.S. Representative Liz Cheney joins the speaker lineup for the 2023 Mackinac Policy Conference.
Cheney will leverage her experience as a political leader with a distinguished record of public service and bipartisanship to discuss the Conference’s theme, focusing on Individual Freedom & Collective Action, the importance of civility for the future of democracy, and the kind of character necessary to sustain it.
Cheney served as the U.S. representative for Wyoming’s at-large congressional district from 2017 to 2023. She chaired the House Republican Conference, the third-highest position in the House Republican leadership, from 2019 to 2021 and served as the Vice Chair of the Select Committee investigating the January 6 Insurrection. Additionally, she was a member of the U.S. House Armed Services Committee, the U.S. Department of Defense China Task Force, the U.S. Natural Resources Committee, and the U.S. House Committee on Rules.
