Gov. Whitmer Announces ‘MI Mask Aid’ Providing 4M Free Masks to Vulnerable Groups
August 14, 2020This program is part of the Mask Up Michigan campaign and will support low-income residents, seniors, homeless shelters, and schools in need of this critical PPE.
The state has already sent 1.5 million masks from FEMA to statewide organizations serving low-income residents and other support agencies. An additional 1 million masks from FEMA and 1.5 million masks from Ford will go to low-income schools, testing sites, and other statewide organizations reaching vulnerable populations including minority residents who have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.
