Gov. Whitmer Changes Guidelines for Testing Eligibility
May 27, 2020Michiganders now eligible for testing include those who:
- Experience any symptom of COVID-19
- Have been exposed to a person diagnosed with COVID-19 or someone who has symptoms
- Have been working outside their home for at least 10 days
- Live or work in a congregate setting including long-term care facilities, prisons and jails, homeless shelters, or migrant camps.
The governor also expanded the types of medical personnel that can order a test to include nurses, physicians assistants, and pharmacists.
Anyone who believes they qualify to receive a COVID-19 test should visit michigan.gov/coronavirustest to locate the nearest testing site.
