Metro Detroit is known for its thriving arts and entertainment industry, which includes beautifully constructed live performance venues throughout the region.

From children’s theatre and musicals at Detroit’s Mosaic Youth Theatre, to pop concerts at the Majestic Theatre, the region has a show for everyone to enjoy.

The Fox Theatre, an opulent former movie palace, stages everything from Broadway plays and big movie extravaganzas to world-class entertainers. Broadway plays can also be seen at the Fisher Theater. The Masonic Temple not only serves the needs of the Masons in the Detroit region, but also features Broadway plays and concerts. The Music Hall is considered Greater Detroit’s home for dance, presenting major dance troupes, theatrical productions, children’s programming, and concerts.

The Michigan Opera Theater performs at the Detroit Opera House, a multi-million-dollar renovation of the former Grand Circus Theatre. Musical guests from around the world perform with the internationally acclaimed Detroit Symphony Orchestra at The Max M. Fisher Music Center. The Detroit Symphony Orchestra also performs summer concerts at the Meadow Brook Amphitheatre at Oakland University. The amphitheater also hosts concerts, musicals, and drama productions.

The Pine Knob Music Theatre, formerly known as the DTE Energy Music Theater, is an outdoor summer music venue where top musicians entertain.

The Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill is a state-of-the-art, outdoor music and movie theater located in Freedom Hill County Park. It is considered one of the largest entertainment arenas in the U.S., with a seating capacity of 6,000 pavilion and lawn seats. The Freedom Hill Amphitheatre has an elegant onsite banquet facility, VIP Hillside Club and an Andiamo Italia restaurant.
