The Michigan Opera Theater performs at the Detroit Opera House, a multi-million-dollar renovation of the former Grand Circus Theatre. The Detroit Symphony Orchestra also performs summer concerts at the Meadow Brook Amphitheatre at Oakland University. The amphitheater also hosts concerts, musicals, and drama productions.

The Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill is a state-of-the-art, outdoor music and movie theater located in Freedom Hill County Park. It is considered one of the largest entertainment arenas in the U.S., with a seating capacity of 6,000 pavilion and lawn seats. The Freedom Hill Amphitheatre has an elegant onsite banquet facility, VIP Hillside Club and an Andiamo Italia restaurant.
