U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo will speak at the upcoming Mackinac Policy Conference, the Detroit Regional Chamber announced Wednesday as it outlined the business summit’s theme and agenda and unveiled a plan to host a U.S. Senate debate on Mackinac Island.

The theme will be “Bridging the Future Together,” centered on “inspiring radical collaboration across divides,” said Suzanne Shank, chair of this year’s conference, which is expected to be attended by the maximum 1,500 people. She is the president, chief executive officer, and a co-founder of investment banking firm Siebert Williams Shank and Co.
