Michigan Senator Elissa Slotkin says Chinese automakers steel intellectual property and then reverse engineer it before deep subsidization by the Chinese Communist government. ‘It’s an $11,000-$14,000 Tesla.’
Sen. Slotkin says, “We want, and there’s lots of people in this room who are hell-bent on building really, really technologically advanced vehicles, but here’s the thing. They’re subject to American law. I believe in the standards that our American companies and even our allied neighbors, Toyota, those folks that are from allied nations, their ability to live under the international system and international law is fundamentally different than the Chinese.”
