This year, WDET, in partnership with StoryCorps, set their sights on restoring civil society through the project One Small Step. The project brought two individuals together who do not know each other and seemingly have nothing in common.
The metro Detroit community readily accepted the opportunity to explore the ties that bind individuals together despite political beliefs and disparate life situations. After more than 300 people volunteered to be a part of the conversation, WDET is excited to share that 25 conversations were recorded and will be available on the WDET website in early 2023.
WDET compiled the most compelling conversations and created a one-hour special.
