André Gudger  

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Eccalon

André Gudger is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Eccalon with over twenty years of experience leading middle-market technology companies and senior positions within the Federal government.

From 2011 to 2017, Gudger served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manufacturing and Industrial Base Policy under President Barack Obama and as Director of the Office of Small Business Programs. He also served as the Defense Department’s lead for Obama’s National Network of Manufacturing Innovation, through which he led the establishment of eight manufacturing institutes that focus on additive manufacturing, lightweight metals technology, robotics, and biotechnology.

Previously, Gudger served as the Director of the Office of Small Business Programs. He has worked on key technical and financial initiatives with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Union Bank of Switzerland, AT&T, and founded Solvern Innovations.

Gudger has been involved with the National Collegiate Lacrosse League, which seeks to grow lacrosse on college campuses, particularly at historically Black colleges and universities, and is the previous owner of the Major Lacrosse League team, the Atlanta Blaze.

Gudger earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland at Baltimore County and his Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
