2026 International Women’s Day

2026 International Women's Day event

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action to cultivate a mindset of generosity and collaboration in alignment with the 2026 theme, Give to Gain.

On Thursday, March 5, the Detroit Regional Chamber hosted its annual International Women’s day, which featured an inspiring panel of women business leaders.

Attendees also experienced a variety of unique wellness experiences, including:

  • A prompt wall, hosted by orsa credit union, that allowed attendees to explore the dreams women can accomplish.
  • A “make-and-take” flower bouquet station, sponsored by Enbridge.
  • A table where troop members from the Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan sold cookies to support the future of accessible scouting and experiences.
  • A discussion on the mental health benefits of meaningful connection and a preview of She Moves Detroit, hosted by Harmonie Club.
  • Complimentary professional headshots provided by Heart of the City Photography and Shawn Lee Studios.
