Cathy Agnello is the Director of Specialty Benefits Ideation and Communications at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, overseeing the development, implementation, and go-to-market efforts of dental, vision, and financial protection products and solutions. Her particular focus is the efforts to integrate dental and vision care with medical to help drive improved oral, vision, and overall health.
Agnello also directs the communications efforts to help agent partners and their clients understand and use their ancillary benefits from Blue Cross and is leading the efforts to advance dental provider relations at Blue Cross.
Agnello has over three decades of experience in all aspects of health insurance, including business analysis, solution development, marketing strategy, and communications. She has been with Blue Cross for 14 years and has held her current position for just over three years.
Agnello earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications from Central Michigan University and her master’s degree in Communications from Eastern Michigan University. She’s also a licensed health and life producer in Michigan.
