Devin Scillian

Journalist and Author

Devin Scillian is a television journalist, children’s author, and musician.  

For almost 30 years, he anchored the news for WDIV-TV, NBC Detroit. His reporting from all over the globe earned him five Edward R. Murrow Awards. In 1995, he led the Peabody Award-winning coverage of the bombing at the Murrah Federal Building for KFOR-TV in Oklahoma City. 

Scillian is the author of 22 award-winning children’s books, including “Memoirs of a Goldfish,” “A Parliament of Owls,” and the national bestseller “A is for America.” His most recent book is “Memoirs of a Dog,” published by Sleeping Bear Press. 

As a singer and songwriter, Scillian is a three-time winner of the prestigious Detroit Music Awards as Best Country Performer. He and his band, Arizona Son, are a staple of the summer concert circuit in Michigan.
