Jamon Alexander is the President and Chief Executive Officer of West Michigan Center for Arts and Technology, a nationally recognized program that provides holistic support and career training to adults seeking living-wage careers in the healthcare industry.
Alexander has led fundraising and volunteer efforts at the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids, Spectrum Health Foundation, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Foundation, and the Heart of West Michigan United Way. He was also a founder and Advisory Board member of BL²END.
Alexander currently serves as a member of the Kent County Essential Needs Task Force, Trinity Health Grand Rapids Board of Directors, Grand Rapids Housing Commission, The Right Place Tech Advisory Council, and as a KConnect trustee and co-chair. He is an alumnus of the Racial Equity in Action Leadership cohort with the National Equity Project and has served as a core team member of Invest Health.
Alexander was honored with the 2014 Grand Rapids Young Professionals Community Advocate Award and as a 40 Under 40 by the Grand Rapids Business Journal in 2013, 2015, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
Alexander earned his bachelor’s degree in Public and Nonprofit Administration from Grand Valley State University.
