Sharon Hopkins is the Assistant Director of Accelerated Programs for Detroit Public Community Schools District (DPSCD), where she coordinates Dual Enrollment, Advanced Placement, and International Baccalaureate programming for thousands of high school students. She is an experienced educational leader and critical pedagogue.
Prior to joining DPSCD, Hopkins served children in Detroit as a high school history teacher, policy debate coach, literacy instructional coach, school leader, and Senior Director of Curriculum and Instruction. She has also served students nationally, working as an educational consultant with K-12 school districts across the country. She is currently working to increase equitable access to accelerated coursework in DPSCD.
