Executive Director, Detroit 2020 Census Campaign
Victoria Kovari was appointed by Mayor Duggan as the executive director of the Detroit 2020 Census Campaign in January 2019.
For the past five years, Kovari served as general manager of the Department of Neighborhoods for the City of Detroit, including directing the city’s property tax foreclosure prevention efforts.
Before joining the Mayor’s office, she served as a field director and community organizer for various local, state and national non-profits and was an adjunct faculty member of University of Michigan and Wayne State University School of Social Work. Kovari is a life-long Detroit resident, currently residing in the Green Acres Neighborhood.
