Today, the Detroit Regional Chamber announced Dorian Grey as its new Senior Director of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation. He will oversee the Chamber’s renowned Leadership Detroit program, the Detroit Policy Conference, and other Chamber initiatives related to supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs in the Detroit Region.

Grey is a longtime advocate of economic development, leadership cultivation, and business innovation. In addition to his time as a small business entrepreneur, he has a decade of experience in corporate governance, program development, and stakeholder engagement. Grey’s civic involvement also includes service as Board Chair of the Detroit Regional LGBT Chamber of Commerce and as a Young Leader Board Member of the Detroit Economic Club and Chair of its Career Readiness Academy Committee, focusing on workforce and career development for the Detroit Region’s youth.
Most recently, Grey has been with AAA – The Auto Club Group, where he managed enterprise-wide governance and corporate affairs for a multi-billion-dollar, multi-entity organization for more than eight years.
This spring, he participated in the Mackinac Policy Conference as a Future Leader and was part of the Chamber-selected Detroit cohort attending the Harvard Business School Young American Leaders Program.
“Dorian brings a fresh perspective with extensive corporate and civic experience to the Chamber, which will ensure Leadership Detroit, the Detroit Policy Conference, and other key initiatives remain relevant and continue to innovate in providing unique experiences for business professionals from across the Detroit Region,” said Megan Spanitz, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy Officer at the Chamber.
Leadership Detroit’s 46th class will kick off this fall and run for nine months.
