CREATIVE MANY MICHIGAN ANNOUNCES SHIVANGEE PANDYA AS DIRECTOR OF SERVICES FOR LAWYERS FOR THE CREATIVE ECONOMY
October 20, 2014In this role, Pandya supports creative individuals and entities seeking legal services with the client intake process by identifying the existing legal issues and determining the appropriate legal support and resources needed. Pandya also prepares Michigan attorneys to provide artists with basic intellectual property knowledge and resources to support and protect artists’ practices as part of the LCE program through periodic workshops, public lectures, orientations and forums.
Prior to joining Creative Many Michigan, Pandya worked as an attorney at Counsel Advocacy Law Line (CALL), a not-for-profit law firm providing a wide range of free civil legal services to low-income individuals and seniors. She negotiated settlements between clients and opposing party attorneys, in addition to advising clients on a variety of legal issues such as collections, debt collections, small claims, divorce and bankruptcy.
Pandya earned her juris doctorate from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit and her Bachelor of Arts degrees in religion and economics from Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Mich. She is a resident of Southgate, Mich.
