Detroit Regional Chamber PAC Unveils 2026 Primary Legislative Endorsements Focused on Economic Growth

June 10, 2026

The Detroit Regional Chamber Political Action Committee (PAC) today announced its initial slate of endorsements for the 2026 election cycle, backing a group of candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives, Michigan State Senate, and Michigan House of Representatives who are committed to fostering economic growth and job creation.

The endorsed candidates represent leaders who demonstrate a consistent willingness to move past partisan divisions, build common ground, and prioritize policies that enhance the state and Detroit Region’s competitive economic position.

Brian Shoaf

“Michigan needs leadership focused on practical solutions that support job creators and strengthen the state’s economic foundation. These candidates understand the critical connection between robust business investment, talent attraction, and the long-term prosperity of Michigan residents. The Chamber PAC is proud to support candidates who will champion a pro-growth business agenda in Lansing and Washington.”

– Brian J. Shoaf, Vice President of Public Policy and Business Advocacy, Detroit Regional Chamber

The Chamber PAC engages in a rigorous review process to evaluate candidates on their policy positions, legislative records, alignment with Chamber priorities, and understanding of the issues impacting the business community. Key factors in the endorsement process include a commitment to fiscal responsibility, infrastructure investment, advancing educational attainment, and creating a stable regulatory environment.

“The business community thrives when there is certainty and a shared commitment to building common ground,” said David Foltyn, Chair of the Chamber PAC. “The candidates endorsed today have proven they are focused on growing Michigan’s economy. Supporting these leaders is essential for making Michigan competitive on a national and global scale.”
